Monza: Amos-Kox (Lamborghini Gallardo GT3) win race-1

The color bearers of Reiter Engineering obtained the first place in class GT3 at the end of a tight race. Radaelli-Gai (Ferrari 458 Italia) won in GT2, Piccini-Livio (Lamborghini Gallardo) in GT Cup and Rangoni-Ponti (Ginetta G50) in GT4

16/10/2011 - Eugenio Amos and Peter Kox, at the debut in the Italian GT at the wheel of the stunning Lamborghini Gallardo LP 600 of GT3 class obtained a very good victory in the first race of the day. During the first stint Amos defended the fourth place but at the driver change the outstanding Dutch driver got behind the wheel and, thanks also to a penalty given to some rival crews, he got the lead and the strongly pulled away.

At the chequered flag the color bearers of Reiter Engineering proceeded two more crews of GT3 class, Albuquerque-Bonanomi (Audi R8 LMS-Audi Sport Italia) and Di Benedetto-Merendino (Corvette Z06-Island Motorsport). In GT2 the top step of the podium went to another debuting crew Radaelli-Gai, at the wheel of the Ferrari F 458 Italia of AF Corse, sixth absolute; in the GT Cup Livio-Piccini won (Lamborghini Gallardo-Mik Corse) and obtained the ninth absolute position, while in GT4 it was the first race and first win for Rangoni-Ponti (Ginetta G50-Rangoni Motorsport).

At 16.10 (local time, GMT+2) the last race of the season will award the Italian titles for GT3, GT Cup and GT4. In GT3 the games will involve Audi Sport Italia's Marco Bonanomi and Andrea Sonvico, in GT Cup so Sanna-Stancheris and Piccini-Livio will battle the title out, while Tiziano Cappelletti is close to the victory in the National CSAI GT4 Trophy.
