After the long summer break, the French track of Le Castellet, will house the 4th round of the Italian GT Championship this coming weekend. The classifications of both classes are very short and 4 lineups are within 13 points only in GT3.

The Audi R8 LMS driven by Mapelli-Schoeffler (Audi Sport Italia) is deservedly leading the standings at the turning point of the season, but behind it, the Ferrari 458 Italia of Casè-Giammaria (Scuderia Baldini 27) and the two Porsche GT3R of Donativi-Gagliardini (Ebimotors) and Beretta-Carboni (Autorlando) are closing in. A lot of other drivers can be protagonists of the two French races though, starting from the other Audi lineup, Capello-Zonzini, and the other three 458 Italia: Magli-Ferrara (Easy Race), Balzan-Benucci (MP1 Corse) and Lucchini-Pier Guidi (BMS Scuderia Italia).

Two further Porsche GT3R will be present at the fast French track: the one driven by Emanuele Romani (Autorlando) and that by Bianco-Pezzucchi (Krypton Motorsport), while Imperiale Racing will line up the 24 years old Mirko Bortolotti on the Lamborghini Gallardo at the side of Giacomo Barri.

The Nissan GT-R NISMO will make its comeback at Paul Ricard thanks to Nova Race that will line up a new pairing made by Luca Magnoni and by the Norwegian driver Anna Rathe, while Sports & You will give its Mercedes SLS AMG to the 18 years old Portuguese driver Francisco Mora.

In GT Cup, Omar Galbiati (Porsche 997-Antonelli Motorsport), together with Christian Passuti, will have to defend the class leadership from the attacks moved by the Lamborghini Gallardo of Tempesta-Iacone and of "El Pato"-Zanardini (Bonaldi Motorsport). Mancinelli-Goldstein (Eurotech Engineering) moved also to the cars made in Sant'Agata Bolognese from this round on to try and aim to the Italian title, but Galbiati will have the other two lineups of Antonelli Motorsport – Baccani-Venerosi and Pierluigi Alessandri that will share the cockpit of the Porsche 997 with the Argentine Juan Pipkin – on his side.

"Spezz"-Selva (Ebimotors), Giuseppe Bodega (Drive Technology) and Gianni Giudici (Scuderia Giudici), will also be present, as the latter will drive a Porsche 997 of 2nd Division.

The programme of the French round will have two qualifying sessions on Saturday, while race-1 will follow at 18.20 (local time). Race-2 will take place on Sunday at 14. Both races will go live on Raisport2 while the live streaming will be available at sito www.acisportitalia.it/GT.
