19.10.2023 – The 2024 FIA World Rally Championship calendar has been unveiled today after the FIA World Motor Sport Council meeting. The 13 rounds of the upcoming world championship season will include the Rally Italia Sardegna, which, following the renewed agreement at the end of 2022 between the Automobile Club d'Italia and WRC Promoter, will be in the WRC calendar until 2025.

The event will take place from May 30th to June 2nd, 2024, in Alghero this time, as it is alternating with the city of Olbia. It will once again involve the Regione Autonoma della Sardegna in the rally organization, which marks its twenty-first edition. This ongoing journey began in 2004 and has given the event increasing international visibility over time, thanks to its unique special stages and region promotion.

Last year, Thierry Neuville and Martjin Wydaeghe drove to victory in the 20° Rally Italia Sardegna in the Hyundai i20 N Rally1. The Belgian crew stood on the top step of the podium, followed by their teammates Esapekka Lappi and Janne Ferm in another i20 N Rally1, and Kalle Rovanpera and Jonne Halttunen in a Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 finishing third.
