FIA Scholarships Available for Global Research Talent

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and Automobile Club d’Italia invite researchers to collaborate against the global scourge of online hate speech in sport as part of United Against Online Abuse campaign.

Six scholarships are available with the support of the FIA Foundation via the FIA University, the Federation’s corporate education and research facility, to examine digital hate and associated toxic commentary specific to sport, while earning a Masters by Research (MPhil) from Dublin City University (DCU) Business School.

This Masters by Research is undertaken by distance learning, meaning you remain in Italy and work independently (2 years part-time starting January 2024), with the support of an academic supervisor, on a thesis based on the topic of online hate and sport.

The FIA is collaborating with the European Commission along with representatives from FIFA, IOC, FIM and national governments.

Research contribution by Italy academia will demonstrate our country’s foundational commitment to knowledge development and safeguarding the sport and society.

Contact Automobile Club d’Italia (email) for more details about this opportunity.
