08/07/2012 – The perfect weekend for Audi Sport Italia at Misano ended with two pole positions, two wins and two fastest laps. In the last race of the third round of the season Andrea Sonvico and Dindo Capello (Audi R8 LMS) gained a great win on front of Balzan-Barri (Porsche GT3-R, Ebimotors, +8.090) and Cerruti-Liberati (BMW Z4 GT3, ROAL Motorsport, +8.938).

The Vita4One Team Italy Ferrari driven by Comandini and Fornaroli was forced to retire due a technical problem to the steering box when it was fighting for the podium, while Monti and Passuti (Porsche GT3-R, Anonelli Motorsport) finished fourth behind Biagi and Colombo (BMW Z4 GT3, ROAL Motorsport), that are still the championship leaders in GT3 class, even if Andrea Sonvico is now closer with a gap reduced to six points, and Di Benedetto and Frassineti are not so far with only eleven points to recover.

In GT2 class new win for the Coggiola brothers (Porsche RS-R) after the success in race one; in GT-Cup after a technical problem occurred on the Sanna-Stancheris Lamborghini Gallardo entered by Imperiale Racing, Cicognani-Granzotto (Porsche 997, Antonelli Motorsport) finished first and strengthened their leadership in the first divison standings. In the second division new win for Bellini-Donativi (Porsche 997, Antonelli Motorsport), with Donativi new leader in the points.

The next round of the Italian GT Championship is scheduled for the 5th August at Red Bull Ring (Austria).
