Mugello, one-two for BMW in race-2 with Biagi-Colombo and Liberati-Cerruti

ROAL Motorsport's lineups dominated the second race of the weekend closing on the top two steps of the podium ahead of the Audi R8 LMS of Di Benedetto-Frassineti.

23/09/2012 – After the victory in race-1, Thomas Biagi and Stefano Colombo (BMW Z4) repeated themselves in the second race of the sixth round of the Italian GT Championship that just finished at the circuit of Mugello, ending again on the top step of the podium and getting also the lead of the provisional GT3 classification.

The BMW triumph was completed by the second place of the other lineup of the Veneto based team, as Edoardo Liberati and Michela Cerruti contributed to a unforgettable weekend finishing ahead of the Audi R8 LMS of Di Benedetto-Frassineti (Audi Sport Italia).

The second Audi R8 LMS, that is the one driven by Sonvico-Capello, ended in foruth place, ahead of the Porsche GT3R of Malucelli-Passuti (Antonelli Motorsport), the Mercedes SLS AMG of De Lorenzi-Necchi (GDL Racing) and the Ferrari 458 Italia of Comandini-Fornaroli (Vita4One Team Italy).

The top ten classification saw also the eighth place of the Porsche GT3R driven by Balzan-Barri (Ebimotors) that proceeded the McLaren MP412C of Neri-Van der Drift (Bhaitech Racing) and the Lamborghini Gallardo of Sanna-Stancheris (Imperiale Racing), with the latter being the first in GT Cup. The classification reserved to the single branded cars was completed by the second place of Cicognani-Granzotto and the third of Venerosi-Baccani (Antonelli Motorsport).

Two Italian titles have been awarded this weekend at Mugello, the GT2 title won won by the brothers Coggiola (Porsche RSR-CVG S.A) and that of the GT Cup 2nd Division, secured by Vincenzo Donativi (Porsche 997-Antonelli Motorsport).
