20/10/2012 - Christian Passuti and Matteo Malucelli obtained the victory in the first race of the last round of the Italian GT Championship that is taking place in Monza.

The lineup of Antonelli Motorsport got on the top step of the podium at the end of a very tight race while Cordoni-Ruberti (Ferrari 458 Italia-Ombra Racing), Sonvico-Capello (Audi R8 LMS-Audi Sport Italia) completed the podium.

Neri-van der Drift (McLaren MP4 12C-Bhaitech Racing) ended with a good fourth place ahead of the Ferrari F 430 GT2 of Palma-Giammaria (Black Team), with the Ferrari 458 Italia of Comandini-Lancieri (Vita4One Team Italy) and Audi R8 LMS of Di Benedetto-Frassineti (Audi R8 LMS-Audi Sport Italia) following them.

The Porsche GT3R of Balzan-Barri was only eighth but the Ebimotors' lineup kept the lead for several laps and was involved in an incident during the last lap which made them lose six positions to the flag.

Bad luck characterized the debut of the Ginetta G55 driven by Cressoni-Iacone (Nova Race), as the pairing went out due to a problem to the cooling system, while the Porsche GT3R of Garofano-Rangoni (Autorlando) ended early due to an incident.

The title of GT3 is still to be decided as Sonvico got the lead of the classification with 144 points, followed by Biagi and Colombo two points short. The race to be held tomorrow will be decisive for the title challenge.

The 1st Division title of the GT Cup has been decided today instead. Alessandro Cicognani and Niccolò Granzotto (Porsche 997-Antonelli Motorsport), win the race in third place behind the two Lamborghini Gallardos (Imperiale Racing) of Sanna-Stancheris and Wiser-Rizzo.
