The echoes of the recent round of Imola have not gone silent yet, and the Italian GT 2016 Championship is all set to get again on track at the Misano World Circuit for the third round of the season. This coming weekend 35 cars and about seventy drivers will challenge each other in the four scheduled races.

SUPER GT3: Two lineups, namely Bortolotti-Mul (Lamborghini Huracan-Imperiale Racing) and Mapelli-Albuquerque (Audi R8 LMS-Audi Sport Italia), are within one point only in the classification. The main class of the Italian championship will get to the Adriatico's round with the right numbers to offer spectacle again. Among the most awaited protagonists, Venturi-Gai (Ferrari 488 GT3-Black Bull Racing) follow in the classification 9 points shy of the leaders, as the other lineups that have been shining so far will try to slide in the fight too: Agostini-Di Folco (Lamborghini Huracan-Antonelli Motorsport), Sini-Mugelli (Aston Martin Vantage-Solaris Motorsport) and Pezzucchi-Venturini (Lamborghini Huracan-Imperiale Racing). Mancinelli-Geri (Ferrari 488 GT3-Easy Race) will get on track in Misano hunting a strong result after they put in great performances in qualifying but have been quite unlucky in Monza and Imola's races. Also trying to counter charge, Frassineti-Gattuso (Lamborghini Huracan-Ombra Racing),  Comandini-Cerqui (BMW M6 GT3- BMW Team Italia) and Linossi-Bontempelli (Nissan GT R-Drive Technology Italia) will all have what is needed to end on the podium.

GT3: The Lamborghini Gallardo of Monfardini-Valori is currently holding the first place of the classification. The Cars Engineering's lineup is leading the two Porsches GT3 R of Venerosi-Baccani  (Ebimotors) and of the brothers Luca and Nicola Pastorelli (Krypton Motorsport) by only half a point, and the fight will be quite interesting also in this class. From the round of Imola on, some new lineups joined the championship: Postiglione-Gagliardini (Lamborghini Gallardo-Imperiale Racing) and Zonzini-Russo (Audi R8 LMS ultra-Audi Sport Italia) have been victorious since the beginning at the Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit. The lineup Leo-Cheever (Ferrari 458 Italia-Scuderia Baldini 27) will try to make up some lost ground in Misano as they had a particularly unlucky start in the two initial rounds, despite the high potential shown, while Team Malucelli will make Simone Tempesta debut on the Ferrari 458 Italia shared with Marco Galassi.

SUPER GT CUP: As the class leaders Necchi-De Lorenzi (GDL Racing) will be absent, the challenge behind them involving Matteo Desideri (Antonelli Motorsport), behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracan shared with the Japanese Kasai Takaschi, and his team mate Massimo Mantovani with co-equiper Pierluigi Alessandri and D'Amico-Zaugg (Raton Racing) will be quite interesting, as these racers are split by only six points in the standings. The team led by Marco Antonelli will be completed by the lineup Galbiati-Sartori and Marco Magli that will be sided by a driver still to be announced, while Tanca-Comi will make it to the track on the second Huracan run by Raton Racing. The cars of the Vincenzo Sospiri Racing team, those driven by Baruch-Liang and Krezia-Costa will complete the lot of the lineups entered in the class reserved to the Lamborghini Huracan.

GT CUP: The class housing cars in single branded configuration cars will live again on the Lamborghini - Ferrari – Porsche duel. The Gallardo run by Imperiale Racing leads the classification with Benvenuti-Demarchi, but the 458 Italia of Sauto-Zanardini (Duel Race), that secured three second places in the four races run so far, is only four points adrift. The two Porsche 997 of Ebimotors, driven by Carlo and Lino Curti and by Maino-Benucci, are a bit lower down the field but always ready to fight for the top step of the podium.

CAYMAN TROPHY: Five cars will make it to the track in the Porsche trophy. The 16yrs old Riccardo Pera (Ebimotors) will be the driver to be beaten after the 40 points he hauled with the two victories in Imola. He will have to face the challenge of his tema mates Piccioli-Iannotta, of Federico and Matteo Zangari (CVG Motorsport), Bianco-De Castro (Krypton Motorsport) and Mercatali-Cecotto (Dinamic Motorsport).

THE PROGRAMME: The third weekend of the season schedules two qualifying sessions on Saturday (from local 9 to 10,30), while race-1 S.GT3-GT3 will follow at 14,50 and race-1 S.GT Cup-GT Cup at 16,55. Race-2 S.GT Cup and GT Cup will begin on Sunday afternoon at 14,05 and race-2 S.GT3-GT3 at 15,15. All races run on the length of 48 minutes + 1 lap will go live on Raisport1 (S.GT3 - GT3) and AutomotoTV (S.GTCup-GT Cup). The web streaming will be available at www.acisportitalia.it/GT.
