The calendar of the Italian GT Championship 2016 made official

Seven rounds with double race confirmed. At the moment the races are planned at Italian circuits, but Acisport is thinking to have on exit abroad.

Season 2015 of the Italian GT Championship has just ended, but Acisport has already been working at edition 2016, the number 16 of the Italian series, making the calendar official with the seven rounds that as tradition will house two races each.

The season will kick off from Monza on 1st May, and then will continue on the 29th of the same month with the round at the Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit of Imola. The circus will move to the Misano World Circuit on 19th June before heading to Mugello on 17th July. The season will resume from the summer break in Vallelunga on 11th September. The sixth round will be housed again by the circuit of Imola, while the grand finale will take place again in Mugello next 16 October.

The initial draft of the calendar includes races only on the national territory, but Acisport is planning an exit outside Italy that might replace one of the two races of Imola either on 29 May or 25 September.
