Aston Martin and Solaris Motorsport: a great pair in the Italian GT Championship

The Italian team is the new Racing Team Partner of the historic British brand and will line up one Vantage GT3 in the Italian championship. This is going to be he first time ever for the British company in the Italian championship.

Solaris Motorsport scored a big hit ahead of the 14th edition of the Italian GT Championship. The team from Pescara will not only line up one Aston Martin Vantage GT3, but will also become an Aston Martin Racing Team Partner, which means it will become the reference in Italy for the historic British brand.

"This is an extraordinary agreement that makes all of us proud of what achieved so far - commented Solaris Motorsport Team Principal Roberto Sini – It is a great honour to be part of the Prodrive family and to represent a brand of the likes of Aston Martin in Italy. The challenge is quite tough and we do not intend to leave anything to chance. For this reason we improved our factory, that has been extended and equipped with all what is needed to compete at the highest levels on all the tracks."

Francesco Sini, one of the two drivers that will be at the wheel of the Vantage GT3 is radiant for the agreement that will produce a strict collaboration between the two structures. "I am incredibly happy! Having the chance to bring an historic and successful brand like Aston Martin back to the Italian GT gives me an indescribable emotion. After a lot of success with Chevrolet, this is an amazing new challenge for me and for my career."

Happyness on this agreement has also been expressed by the British factory in Banbury, Oxforshire: "Having one of our Aston Martin Vantage in the Italian GT for the first time ever is fantastic – declared Aston Martin Racing's President, David Richards - Solaris has acquired a lot of experience in motorsport and I am quite confident that this partnership will bring one Aston Martin on the podium soon."
