Monza, Fisichella-Mosca (Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020) claim the pole position in the 3rd round of the Italian GT Endurance Championship

After the excellent performances in the three free practice sessions, the Scuderia Baldini crew once again confirms their position in the official qualifying sessions leading the two BMWs and the AF Corse cousins. In the GT Cup, Leutwiler-Costantini-Menzel (Porsche 992 Cup) set the fastest time

The team composed of Giancarlo Fisichella and Tommaso Mosca (Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020) will start from pole position in the 3rd round of the Italian GT Championship. The representatives of Scuderia Baldini, currently leading the overall standings with full points, achieved the best time (5'21.320s) in the combined partial times set by the two drivers in the three official practice sessions just concluded at the Monza circuit.

On the starting grid, Fisichella-Mosca will find alongside them the BMW M4 GT3 (BMW Italia-Ceccato Racing Team) of Comandini-Cassarà-Nilsson, who secured the second-best time (5'23.740s), while behind them, the second BMW of Guerra-Tavano-Tamburini and the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 (AF Corse) of Castro-Pulcini-Gai will follow, with the respective times of 5'24.529s and 5'25.139s.

Bartholomew-Garcia-Raghunathan (Lamborghini Huracan GT3-Imperiale Racing) and Attianese-Stuvik (Audi R8 LMS-Audi Sport Italia) will start from the third row of the grid. They will be followed in the fourth row by the Mercedes AMG GT3 (Nova Race) of Ferri-Fontana "Naska-Marchetti and the first car in the GT Cup class, the Porsche 992 Cup (Centro Porsche Ticino) of Leutwiler-Costantini-Menzel.

In the class reserved for single-brand cars, Caiola-Fabi-Ianniello (Lamborghini Huracan ST Evo-DL Racing) secured the second-best time, which earns them the fifth row of the grid. Alongside them will line up the leaders of the PRO-AM class, Demarchi-Patrinicola-Dimare (Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo-Best lap).

The sixth row of the starting grid will be shared by Bozzoni-Cabezas-Navarrete (Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo-Mertel Motorsport) and Gilardoni-Guzman-Middleton (Lamborghini Huracan GT3-Imperiale Racing), the latter penalized by braking system issues, while on the seventh row, the GT Cup AM leader Filippo Lazzaroni will start alongside Andres Mendez (Lamborghini Huracan ST Evo-Bonaldi Motorsport) and Galbiati-Piria (Porsche 992 Cup-EF Racing).

Two Ferrari 488 Challenge will take positions on the eighth row, one from SR&R driven by Atzori-Menichini-Di Leo and one from Best Lap driven by Marzialetti-Postiglione-Scarpetta, ahead of the second Lamborghini from DL Racing driven by Bontempelli-Locanto-Deverikos, and the Ferrari 488 Challenge from La Mazza-Biagi (Easy Race).

The starting grid for the third round of the Endurance series is going to be completed by the Lamborghini Huracan ST of "Giagua"-Tarabini (Petri Corse), the Porsche 992 Cup of Di Benedetto-Nicolosi-Pezzucchi (KMS), and the Porsche 991 Cup of Barin-Franceschi-Simoncini (PS Performance).

The 2-hour race will start tomorrow, Sunday, at 15:15 and will be broadcast live on ACISPORT TV (SKY 228) and streaming on the Facebook page www.facebook.com/CIGranTurismo, YOUTUBE https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-QsHUuslO4iZekAeBoskgg/featured, and on the championship website www.acisport.it/CIGT. RAISPORT has also scheduled a delayed TV broadcast for Monday at 24:00.
