The selection of 3 young drivers for the Ferrari Driver Academy to continue next 7 August in Lonato

01/08/2011 – The fourth round of the Italian CSAI Karting Championship is scheduled for the weekend 5-7 August in Lonato and in this occasion the initiative started by CSAI together with Ferrari Driver Academy to give value to the young promising karting drivers will be repeated.

This innovative and interesting formula reserved to young drivers born between 1995 and 1998 to be directed towards the insertion in the Ferrari Driver Academy, under the guidance of Luca Baldisserri,
started in last race at Viterbo and will continue in each of the coming rounds until the end of the championship with the coordination of Giancarlo Minardi (CSAI's observer) sided by some delegates of the CSAI Federal School of Vallelunga.

The first three young drivers chosen after Viterbo's round were Gianni Vigorito (15 years old, from Avellino), Alessio Santilli (16, from Pescara) and Mattia Vita (14, from Lucca), with the first two driving in KF2 category while the third in KF3.

Overall, 12 young drivers will be selected in the final four rounds of the championship. These drivers will have a psycho-attitude test in Fiorano with the objective of a Formula Abarth test and the final prize of a 4 days Super-course on track in Vallelunga organized by the Federal School CSAI together with the Ferrari Driver Academy .
