Victory to Pizzuti (KZ2), Santilli (KF2), Lorandi (KF3), Dionisios (Mini) in the first round of finals

07/08/2011 - First virdicts, sometimes even surprising, in the first round of finals held at the South Garda Karting circuit for the fourth round of the Italian CSAI Karting Championship.

Marco Pizzuti (Birel-Tm) obtained rightfully the first final in KZ2, ahead of Marco Zanchetta (CKR-Tm) and Alessandro Giulietti (Tony Kart-Tm). The classification leaer Fabia Federer (CRG-Tm) did not manage to finish in top positions and obtained the eighth place.

The KF2 victory went to Alessio Santilii (Intrepid-Tm) who did manage to get to the lead early despite starting from the back due to the race 1 grid inversion. Gianni Vigorito (Birel-Bmb), the classification leader, was involved in an accident therefore Santilli recovered points in the championship and strengthened his second place. The two Moretti brothers (maranello-Tm) finished second and third, with Andrea being second and Marco third. Another protagonist of the championship, Nicola Marcon (Tony Kart-Vortex), ended sixth.

In KF3, good race for Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart-Vortex) who recovered several positions until getting to the lead and proceeding Nicolò Balsamo (Birel-Bmb) and Lorenzo Paggi (Tony Kart-Tm) at the finish line. Federico Pezzolla (Intrepid-Tm) was slowed down by a contact in the last corners when he was about to finish on the podium: his final result was sixth. Luca Corberi (Tony Kart-Vortex) ended fifth instead.

In 60 Mini, the Romanian Marcu Dionisios (Top Kart-Lke) proceeded the Turkish Ayhancan Guven (Top Kart-Parilla) and Remigio Garofano (Top Kart-Lke) who, thanks to the third place, managed to increase is classification lead. Hugo Hakkinen could not qualify for the final due to an accident in the last lap when he was sixth in the repechage race.
