Another great sporting day has been lived during the fourth round of the Italian CSAI Karting Championship at the South Garda Karting track, with about 160 drivers battling on the 1.010 meters of the circuit in a round that turned out to be very important classification-wise.

The double four finals of the categories KZ2, KF2, KF3 and 60 Mini did not betray expectations and rain came also to add further spectacle in the afternoon forcing the KF3 final to be split in two fractions.
In the fastest category, the KZ2, the victory of race one went to Marco Pizzuti (Birel-Tm), who was favoured by the top eight grid inversion of the qualifying heats. Pizzuti proceeded at the finish line
Marco Zanchetta (CKR-Tm) and Alessandro Giulietti (Tony Kart-Tm), while the classiifcation leader Fabian Federer (CRG-Tm), could not go beyond the eighth place. Federer counter-charged in race two where he pulled away from the pole position. An incident at turn one put out of the games Zanchetta and Bressan in a contact with Giulietti. The fight was extended to the other two steps of the podium that went to the Austrian Marcel Mueller (CRG-Tm) and Giulietti, who managed to recover after the initial contact with Zanchetta. Fourth position for Alberto Cavalieri (Intrepid-Tm), while fifth was Matteo Ghidella (Maranello-Tm), followed by Matteo Massatani (CRG-Tm) that occupied the third position for a while.
Federer pulled away in the championship and reached 198 points, enjoying 70 points of advantage to Bressan and 94 to Zanchetta.

KF2 showed once again a lot of agonism. Alessio Santilli (Intrepid-Tm), won race one and was second in race two behind Marco Moretti (Maranello-Tm). Thanks to this double podium, Santilli is now leading the championship as he also took advantage of race one's retirement of Gianni Vigorito (Birel-Bmb) due to a technical problem. Vigorito recovered afterwards in race two and from the back of the grid moved up to the sixth place.

In final one, the podium was completed by the two Moretti brothers, Andrea e Marco. The latter won race two ahead of Santilli and the surprising Polish Rdest Malgorzata (Tony Kart-Bmb). Very combactive was also Nicola Marcon (Tony Kart-Vortex), who recovered very well from the incident of the last race in Viterbo. Marcon ended race one in sixth and race two in fifth ahead of Vigorito.

Santilli has now 10 points of advantage to Vigorito in classification, 50 to Marco Moretti and 58 to Marcon. Fifth is now Alberto Di Folco at 78, who won the appeal to the disqualification in Sarno's race one.

KF3 witnessed the duel on top between Federico Pezzolla (Intrepid-Tm) and the home driver Luca Corberi (Tony Kart-Vortex), with Antonio Fuoco, nick-named "Speedy", on Tony Kart-Vortex of team Morsicani putting himself between the two winning race two and Alessio Lorandi, also on Tony Kart-Vortex of team Baby Race, winning race one, both at their first appearence in the Italian championship.

In race one Lorandi proceeded Nicolò Balsamo (Birel-Bmb) and Lorenzo Paggi (Tony Kart-Tm), Corberi was fifth and Pezzolla seventh. In race two, held in two manches due to a light rain interrupting the race, Fuoco won ahead of the Brazilian Thiago (Energy-Tm) and Pezzolla, after an exchange of positions in the first part of the race. Balsamo ended fifth ahead of a very good Antonio D´Angelo. Corberi finished ninth. Lorandi was afterwards disqualified due to a racing incident after he finished sixth.

Pezzolla has now an advantage of 74 points in the championship to Corberi and 78 to Balsamo.

In 60 Mini both finals were won by the Romanian Marcu Dionisios (Top Kart-Lke). In race one. Dionisios proceeded Guven Ayhancan (Top Kart-Parilla) and Remigio Garofano (Top Kart-Lke); in race two the podium was completed instead by the Russian Robert Shwartzman (Birel-Lke) and Alessandro Stura (Top Kart-Parilla), while Garofano ended fourth.
In the championship reserved to drivers with national licence Garofano strengthened further his advantage.

The next round of the championship is scheduled for 28 August in Sant´Egidio alla Vibrata (Teramo) with the category 60 Baby that will be added for the occasion and will run a single race.
