Italian CSAI Karting Championship to start next 3 April in Sarno

10/03/2011 – The International Circuit Napoli of Sarno will be the stage of the opening race of the new Italian Csai Karting Championship next 3 April. The promotion of the series has been done by Aci Sport and will benefit from Italian live tv coverage of all final-2 races and tv magazines on the most important National networks.

The new tricolored series, present also in the International CIK-FIA calendar, will be articulated in 6 rounds and is open to categories KF3, KF2, KZ2 and 60 Mini, with the addition of the 60 Baby in occasion of the 28 August in Sant´Egidio alla Vibrata.

Grid inversion for race 1 of the top eight positions after qualifying has been introduced in the series and will make the races even more thrilling.
The same drivers will line up in the top 8 positions of the starting grid of race two with the same order obtained from the preliminary heats without taking into account the result of race one.

This formula has already been successfully used in other motor-sport events where the championships turned out to be well balanced and with a lot of different drivers on the podium. Certainly the spectacle on track and the unfolding of the championship will gain from this!

The calendar of the races follows: 3 April Sarno (Salerno), 8 May Jesolo (Venezia), 3 July Viterbo, 7 Augost Lonato (Brescia), 28 August Sant´Egidio alla Vibrata (Teramo), 2 October Ortona (Chieti).
