08/05/2011 - Once again the Italian CSAI Karting Championship lived a series of nice and thrilling races in the second round held at the Pista Azzurra of Jesolo. The tricolored series organized by CSAI and promoted by ACI Sport gave several confirmations on the real values on the field and a few surprises did not miss too.

Very tight, as usual, was the KF3 that saw the success in the two finals shared by the rulers of the category: Federico Pezzolla (Intrepid-Tm) and Luca Corberi (Tony Kart-Vortex). Pezzolla secured the success in the first final right ahead of Luca Corberi and Antonio D´Angelo (PCR-Parilla), while in the second and more important final (in terms of classification points) Luca Corberi obtained the top place of the podium. Behind him, the Norwegian Oystei Helgheim (Parolin-Tm) who harvested the first success in a race of the Italian Championship proceeding on the finish line Pezzolla. Forth was the Canadian Lance Stroll (Zanardi-Parilla), always among the best drivers and definitely in constant growth. At the end of the race a technical irregularity to the engine air flow system stated the disqualification of Pezzolla therefore Stroll was promoted third and obtained his first podium. In classification Pezzola is first but with just six points to Corberi.

In KZ2 good victory from Fabian Federer (CRG-Tm) too, who has been author of a good performance after overtaking the other driver with CRG chassis, Francesco Celenta, who started in the first row too.

The first final was won by Alessandro Bressan (CKR-Tm), followed by Alberto Cavalieri (Intrepid-Pavesi) and then Federer. The race winner of Sarno, Antonio Piccioni (Parolin-Tm), was forced to an early retirement in final-2 due to a technical problem.

Federer won the final race ahead of Bressan and Massimo Mazzali (Maranello-Tm). Celenta finished fourth. Federer is currently on top of the classification 4 points clear of Bressan.

In KF2, after the success of Marco Moretti (Maranello-Tm) in race one, ahead of the local driver Nicola Marcon (Tony Kart-Vortex) ans Roberto Manduchi (Parolin-Tm), a thirlling final two was won by Gianni Vigorito (Birel-Bmb) who produced a good recover ended on the top step of the podium. Second was Cristopher Zani (Kosmic-Vortex) while Moretti was third. Good races also from Alessio Santilli (Intrepid-Tm) and Riccardo Cinti (Tony Kart-Tm), respectively fourth and fifth.
