180 drivers to compete in the second round of the Italian CSAI Karting Championship from 21-23 June in Val Vibrata

About 180 drivers make up the entry list of the second round of the Italian CSAI Karting Championship that will get under way this coming weekend at the Kartodrome Val Vibrata of Sant'Egidio alla Vibrata (Teramo). This is quite a good number that confirms the health of the Italian championship and the sportive interest towards a new season that is packed with interesting traits.

5 categories will make it to the track in Sant'Egidio alla Vibrata, the new Formula 60 ACI/CSAI Karting will be add to the traditional KZ2, KF2, KF3 and 60 Mini. This will be the new Italian Championship reserved to children aged between 8 and 10 with the new "all inclusive” rental formula, including complete chassis, engine decided by lot, tyres, fuel, racing seat, tent spot race entering fee and championship entering fee.

On the circuit located in Abruzzo, the most crowded category will be KZ2 as it will feature 51 entered drivers. Among the numerous protagonists the winners of the two finals held in Sarno, Luigi Di Poto (Rosso Korsa-Tm) and Federico Pezzolla (Intrepid-Tm), that will be challenged by several youngsters like Alessio Piccini (Tony Kart-Vortex), who, together with Francesco Iacovacci, Gabriele Volpato and Cristopher Zani, had the chance to test the Formula Abarth single seater in Vallelunga during an evaluation test by the ACI CSAI Federal School in collaboration with Ferrari Driver Academy.

Very good numbers also in 60 Mini, with 49 drivers that will produce good spectacle on track as usual. Also in this category two drivers got the victory in the finals held in Sarno, namely, Francesco Pagano and Leonardo Marseglia, both racing on Top Kart-Parilla.

KF2's entry list contains 34 drivers, among which Sarno's final one winner Francesco Iacovacci (Tony Kart-Tm) and the French Julien Darras winner of the second final and well determined to take part in all the Italian championship also because there is no similar series in France. The top two will be challenged by the two Moretti brothers (Kosmic-Tm), that will be ready to counter-charge following the outcome of their season opener and Luca Corberi (Kosmic-Vortex).

Among the 28 entered drivers of KF3, the duel between the Sarno's ruler, Leonardo Pulcini (Tony Kart-Vortex), and the two Lorandi brothers (Tony Kart-Parilla) absolute protagonists last year. Some new entries will probably slot in the fight like the Russian Robert Shwartzman (Tony Kart-Tm) racing with team Forza Racing.

LIVE TV COVERAGE ON NUVOLARI. Finals-1 of the round of Val Vibrata will be broadcast live on TV on Sunday 23 June by Nuvolari from 11.25 (GMT+1) with the categories KZ2, 60 Mini and Formula 60 ACI/CSAI, while the first two races of the morning valid for KF2 and KF3 will be shown recorded at 13.
