The protagonists of the season are awaited at the Circuit of Siena from 26 to 28 July for the third round of the Italian CSAI Karting Championship, with several new arrivals especially in KZ2, starting from Mirko Torsellini, works driver for Tony Kart, and Sauro Cesetti, works driver for Top Kart.

The two top-drivers, together with several others that announced their presence, will enlarge the entry list of the category with the shift in an event that announces to be one of the most spectacular of the season. The KZ2 classification is also quite tight which adds further interest to the race.

After the round of Sant'Egidio alla Vibrata, the standings are led by Massimo Dante (Maranello-Tm), who is enjoying 16 points of advantage to Marco Pastacaldi (Birel-Tm), 37 to Francesco Celenta (Energy-Tm) and 38 to Loris Spinelli (Tony kart-Vortex). Federico Pezzolla (Intrepid-Tm) is in the fight for the championship and will try to counter after the latest unlucky race, alike Alessandro Giulietti (Intrepid-Tm), who won in Siena last Sunday in the Summer Trophy and seemingly solved some setup problems he suffered at the beginning of the season. Other very talented youngsters like Mattia Drudi (Maranello-Tm) – among the best in Abruzzo – are also awaited in Siena.

The categories KF2, KF3, 60 Mini and the new Formula 60 ACI/CSAI Karting (that will be running the second round of the season after the positive debut in Sant'Egidio alla Vibrata) will make it to the track alongside the KZ2.

The classification lead in KF2 is held by the French Julien Darras (Tony Kart-Tm) despite the incident that stopped him at turn one of the second Final. Darras so far won two races and is just 12 points clear of the Briton Callum Ilott (Zanardi-Tm) who centered his maiden win in an Italian championship. Marco Moretti (Kosmic-Tm) and Luca Corberi (Kosmic-Vortex) are ready to slide in the fight for the lead, with the latter coming from the win in the last round of the WSK Master Series.

In KF3 the new star of the championship is the Romanian driver Petru Florescu (Tony Kart-Vortex), who obtained a double victory at his debut in the Italian Championship in Sant'Egidio. The classification is still led by the reigning champion Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart-Parilla), who has obtained so far four second places in four finals. He currently has 16 points more than Leonardo Pulcini (Tony Kart-Vortex).

In 60 Mini, Giuseppe Fusco (Lenzo-Lke) got the lead thanks to the double victory in Sant'Egidio. He currently stands 12 points clear of Nicola Abrusci (Tony Kart-Lke) and 26 of Leonardo Marseglia (Top Kart-Parilla).

Matteo Roccadelli leads the way in the new Formula 60 ACI/CSAI as he won the first final in Sant'Egidio and obtained a good placing in race-2 where the victory went to Santo Macaluso. Roccadelli has a two points lead to Etienne Linty and is 8 clear of Macaluso.
