All was in place for a spectacular third round of the championship and the a show it has been in Siena for the turning point of the season after the first two rounds held in Sarno and Sant'Egidio alla Vibrata.

181 drivers got verified and entry lists were long in 60 Mini – with 59 drivers, new season record – and in KZ2 with 47 drivers on track but also KF3 had a good presence with 38 drivers, the KF2 with 22 and the new Formula 16 ACI-CSAI with 15 drivers on track.

The spectacle on track has been goo, starting from the most powerful category, KZ2 that lived also the thrill of a frightful incident at the start of Final-2 that luckily did not have serious consequences for the drivers involved.

A super Mirko Torsellini won the first of the two Finals of KZ2 as the Tony Kart works driver wanted to honour with his presence this round run on the family owned circuit. Started from the front row, Torsellini got the lead and pulled away with a good margin. Loris Spinelli (CRG-Tm) and Antonio Piccioni (Intrepid-Tm) were involved in an incident while holding respectively the second and third position. Behind Torsellini the poleman Tommaso Marconi (First-Tm) and Alessandro Giulietti (Intrepid-Tm). Very good fourth place for Simone Brenna (Tbkart-Modena) leading Marco Pastacaldi (Birel-Tm) and Sauro Cesetti (Top Kart-Tm).

The second Final lived frightening moments at the start when Massimo Dante (Maranello-Tm) swerved on the grass and then rejoined when all the other drivers were approaching. Team mate Enrico Bernardotto (Maranello-Kart) rolled over and Giorgio Mandozzi (Top Kart-Tm) hit him. At the end only a huge fright but no consequence to the drivers that were promptly helped by doctors. After the break the race restarted and Tommaso Marconi, despite being penalyzed by the top 8 grid inversion, managed to recover well and to win from Massimo Mazzali (Art GP-Tm) to Antonio Piccioni. Giulietti ended fourth and Torsellini fifth. Dante kept the classification lead thanks to a sixth place and now leads Pastacaldi by seven points.

In KF2 Luca Corberi (Kosmic-Vortex) won the first final with a big margin to the rivals. Second place for the classification leader, Julien Darras (Tony Kart-Tm) and third for Paolo Ippolito (Birel-Tm). Marco Moretti (Kosmic-Tm) ended fourth ahead of Callum Ilott (Zanardi-Tm) and Stefano Cucco (Intrepid-Tm). In the second Final Darras managed to recover well due to the grid inversion and got the lead from Marco Moretti that was again on the podium. Ippolito had to concede his third step of the podium as he was penalyzed due to bad behaviour by stewards together with Cucco as the two were given a 10 seconds penalty. The third place was inherited by Corberi, who reached the fourth place in the standings with 99 points, behind Darras at 152, Moretti at 106 and Ilott at 100, as the latter had to retire in race-2.

In KF3 Leonardo Pulcini (Tony Kart-Vortex) dominated Final one, ahead of classification leader Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart-Parilla) and the Russian Robert Shwartzman (Tony Kart-Tm). The second final was much more eventful with Remigio Garofano (Tony Kart-Lke) – seventh in race-1 – exploiting the grid inversion and got the lead of the race that he kept all the way to the flag. The Russian Nikita Mazepin (Tony Kart-Vortex) followed him in second after the fourth place in race-1. On the podium again Pulcini in third that closed up to Alessio Lorandi in the classification as the latter now leads by two points after the fourth place in race-2.

In 60 Mini a very lively Final-1 saw the maiden win by the Indonesian with Italian licence Prassetyo Hardja (Baby Race). The young driver was celebrated at the finish line by his entourage and proceeded the Czech Republic driver of Birel Lukas Podobsky and Giuseppe Fusco (Lenzo-Lke). The latter has been author of a good second Final that was spoiled by an irregularity against Leonardo Marseglia (Top Kart-Parilla) with only one lap to go. At the flag Fusco was first proceeding Nicola Abrusci (Tony kart-Lke) and Lorenzo Colombo (Top Kart-Lke), but stewards penalyzed him by 10 seconds due to un-correct behaviour in the move to Marseglia. The race classification changed with Abrusci and Colombo respectively first and second, while Podobsky got the third position, Hardja the fourth and Muizzuddin (CRG/Hero-Lke) the fifth. This classification is still sub-judice due to the appeal made by Fusco. Despite the penalty, Fusco is still leading the classification lead as he is 2 points clear of Abrusci and 16 of Colombo.

The Formula 60 ACI-CSAI dedicated to the drivers aged between 8 and 10, saw the win by Santo Macaluso in race-1, thanks also to a contact and at the end of the race involving Matteo Roccadelli and Francesco Crescente. Macaluso proceeded at the line Alessandro Dal Ferro and Gabriele Aiello. In the second race Raccadelli won with a good margin to Crescente and Etienne Linty who was third. Macaluso (seventh in race-2) leads the championship with 5 points to Roccadelli.

The next round of the season will take place in Lonato on 15 September with the third and last race of the Formula 60 ACI-CSAI and the penultimate of all the other categories. In the occasion the South Garda Karting will organize a double side race with the Prodriver AM and PRO.
