146 drivers in Castelletto for the final round of the Italian CSAI Karting Championship

Very good numbers also in the final round of the Italian Championship at the Circuit 7 Laghi of Castelletto. The four titles to be decided on Sunday. 826 participations (+30%) is the new season record.

The last weekend of the season of the Italian CSAI Karting Championship – third edition with the promotion of ACI-CSAI and ACI Sport – started today in Castelletto di Branduzzo (Pavia) with 146 drivers on track.

The race has been organized by La Conca Sporting Club, and it has started on the right foot with a solid number of foreign drivers that will be present in this round to prepare at best the event of WSK Final Cup that will take place on Sunday November 3rd on this same track.

Thanks to these 146 drivers in the fifth round of Castelletto (that is 50 in KF3, 50 in 60 Mini, 23 in KZ2 and 23 in KF2), the Italian CSAI Karting Championship reached this year the record number of 826 participations as the figures of the first 4 rounds comprised 150 drivers on track in Sarno, 177 in Sant'Egidio alla Vibrata, 181 in Siena and 172 in Lonato. This is quite a big leap forward from the total 639 scored last year, which is a 30% increase.

After the uncertain weather on Friday the sun is awaited to enjoy the weekend and weather forecast schedule an improvement. Perfect track conditions are going to be crucial as this is going to be the decisive race of for the title quest in all categories.

On top of the championship are the driver from Trento Massimo Dante (Maranello-Tm) in KZ2, the French driver Julien Darras (Tony Kart-Tm) in KF2, Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart-Parilla) from Brescia in KF3, Nicola Abrusci (Tony Kart-Lke) from Bari in 60 Mini.

THE PROGRAMME. Qualifying will be on Saturday from 10.10, while qualifying heats will start at 13.30. On Sunday Repechage races will begin at 9.20, while Finals-1 will take place from 10.25, and Finals-2 from 13.55.
