The positive string of the Italian ACI-CSAI Karting continues also at the Circuit of Siena after the first two rounds of La Conca of the 25 May that had 141 drivers on track and the following round of Sarno held last 22 June with 149 drivers on track . A total of 148 verified drivers will make it to the track in the third round of the season.

The turning point of the season of Siena has all what is needed to keep the momentum of the great spectacle offered by the beginning of the season and it will also have some improved points like in KF that this time around will have 20 drivers on track, while KZ2 will have 47 drivers and 60 Mini 50, and KF3 is more than satisfactory with 41 drivers filling up the grid.

The round of Siena will also have some new-entries like the young Japanese Shion Tsujimoto in KF3, in 60 Mini the young driver from Morocco Zanfari Suleiman, and in KF2 Louis Robert Gachot, son of Former 1 Belgian driver Bertrand Gachot – who has been racing from 1989 to 1995 with Onyx, Coloni and Jordan with his seat occupied by a Michael Schumacher at the debut in 1990.

Some important changes will involve the material too: Loris Spinelli moved to CRG in KZ2, and Pasquale Tellone to ART, while the Spaniard Eliseo Martinez will make his debut in the Italian Championship with ART GP works team in KF3. Important change also for team RB Kart Technology that changed to LKE all the units of its KF3 drivers.

Among the most determined in KZ2, Marco Zanchetta with Maranello, who is hunting for a counter after his unlucky exit in Germany for the European Championship. Francesco Celenta on Energy has been very competitive in the round held last week in Siena and the home hero Mirko Torsellini on ART, who has won the latest final of Sarno. Candidate to the victory of KZ2 are also some others like Luca Tilloca, who has been in a great shape so far, last two editions champion Alessandro Giulietti, Jeremy Iglesias, who is Lenzokart works driver and Lorenzo Camplese who is currently leading the charts on Maranello. Several drivers had setup problems due to the hot temperatures that make karts less efficient on the "red hot” tarmac.

The classification of KF2 sees Andrea Moretti (Exprit-TM) on top, but Marco Maestranzi (Top Kart-TM) has good chances after dominating the first round of Muro Leccese and race-2 in Sarno, while Stefano Villa Zanotti (Tony Kart-Vortex), third in the standings, has been a frequent visitor of the podium so far.

A good duel among the top three of KF3, the American Devlin DeFrancesco (Tony Kart-Vortex), Remigio Garofano (Tony Kart-LKE) and Lorenzo Travisanutto (PCR-TM) is awaited, but the Brazilian Gabriel Sereia (Exprit) and Tommaso Mosca (Birel) proved to be able to slide in the top positions.

The await is mounting also for 60 Mini as team Gamoto will try and defend its lead in the charts with Dennis Hauger, who will try to fend off the attacks moved by drivers of team Lenzokart led by Giuseppe Fusco and by Baby Race's Nicola Abrusci.

Meanwhile, free practice highlighted the performance of several protagonists on Friday.
The quickest time has been set by Alessandro Giulietti (Intrepid-TM) in 39"630, Marco Zanchetta (Maranello-TM) folllowed in 39"770 and Jeremy Iglesias was third in (Lenzo-LKE) in 39"916.
