A good spectacle expected at the Circuit of Siena for the finals of the Italian ACI-CSAI Karting Championship

148 drivers coming from 25 countries representing four continents are present in Siena. In KZ2 Celenta put his name forward, in KF2 Maestranzi. In KF3 Brazilians to the fore, in 60 Mini Bogdanov excellent. Live TV coverage of all the finals on Dinamica Channel.

A big spectacle is on at the Circuit of Siena that is staging the third round of the ACI-CSAI Italian Karting Championship. On Saturday, qualifying heats foresee a red hot final stage for Sundy's two final races that will be broadcast live on TV by Dinamica Channel (freeview and SKY) and that will also be available through Live Streaming on www.acisportitalia.it and www.sportube.tv in the Sportube TV Channel.

In Siena 148 drivers are present in the four categories KZ2 (47 drivers), KF2 (20 drivers), KF3 (31 drivers) and 60 Mini (50 drivers). 25 countries are represented in this event covering four countries. They are Italy, Great Britain, Belgium, Switzerland, Russia, Spain, Greece, Austria, France, Norway, Hungary, Portugal, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria, Venezuela, Brazil, Canada, United States, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and in this occasion also Japan and Morocco.

KZ2

KZ2 lived a spectacular duel since qualifying in group one with Francesco Celenta (Energy-TM) setting a late 39.583s that took the pole position off Lorenzo Camplese's hands (Maranello-TM) who posted his best time in 39.703s. Behind them, Massimo Mazzali (Art GP-LKE), Antonio Piccioni (CKR-TM) and Alessio Piccini (Tony Kart-Vortex). Technical problems affected Alessandro Giulietti (Intrepid-TM), that had to stop only three laps in. In group 2 an incredible equal time was set byMarco Zanchetta (Maranello-TM) and Paolo Ippolito (Birel-TM) in 39.751s. The fifth time was set by the home driver Mirko Torsellini (Art GP-TM).

The following qualifying heats highlighted again Zanchetta, who won two heats and was delayed by an incident in the third, but Celenta confirmed to be very quick too thanks to two wins. The surprise of the day came from Riccardo Longhi on CRG-Modena, who won a heat from Piccini and Ippolito, alike Massimo Mazzali on Art GP powered by LKE, claimed one win to Celenta. Good shape also for Jeremy Iglesias (Lenzokart-LKE) and his team mate Francesco Iacovacci, who have always been among the best. Close to the top the classification leader Camplese, while Torsellini just secured some placings.

KF3

In KF3 the quickest time in qualifying was set by the Brazilian Gabriel Sereia who proceeded his two fellow countrymen Murilo and Marcel Della Coletta, all on Exprit-LKE run by team RB that placed 5 drivers in the top 6. Only Remigio Garofano (Tony Kart-LKE) tried to break Exprit supremacy with the fourth time.
Brazilian flags waved high also in two KF3 qualifying heats as Murilo Della Coletta won both heats, the first leading the Brazilian Gabrile Sereia, and the second leading team mate Kush Maini. Third in both heats was the American Devlin DeFrancesco (Tony Kart-Vortex). Garofano managed only to clinch two placings (24. e 9.).

KF2

In KF2 Marco Maestranzi (Top Kart-TM) ruled again setting the quickest time in 41.063s, with Andrea Moretti (Exprit-TM) being the only one challenging him for the pole position in 41.116s. The third time was set by Adriano Albano (Tony Kart-TM) in 41.342s. The two heats of KF2 were then won by Maestranzi, who led Adriano Albano in the first and Andrea Moretti in the second.

60 MINI

In 60 Mini the quickest time was set in group-one by Dimitri Bogdanov (Tony Kart-LKE) with a best time of 48.357s, ahead of Alessandro Giardelli (on Tony-LKE) in 48.386s a Dennis Hauger (CRG-LKE) in 48.459. In group-2 the quickest time was set by Skeed in 48.401s, who proceeded Nigel De Sanctis (48.412s), both on Top Kart-Parilla, and Francesco Pagano (48.440s) on Top Kart-LKE.
The first of the thee heats of 60 Mini was claimed by Giardelli from Hauger, but Bogdanov strongly won the second and third.

KF2: 1. Moretti points 77; 2. Maestranzi 61; 3. Villa Zanotti 58; 4. Albano 45; 5. Lanza 39; 6. Gomez 38; 7. Martucci 31; 8. Romanucci 28; 9. Lovchaliev 24; 10. Cenedese 18.
