Qualifying heats at the International Circuit of Friuli Venezia Giulia in Precenicco highlighted the protagonists of the fifth and final round of the Italian ACI-CSAI Karting Championship that lived a seriese of good duels in all the categories.

60 MINI, FUSCO-HAUGER BATTLING

Particularly interesting has been the duel for the lead in 60 Mini. Giuseppe Fusco (Lenzokart-Lke) and the Norwegian driver Dennis Hauger (CRG/Hero-Lke) are the contenders for the final win. The two main protagonists of the championship put in a great spectacle in the heats engaging each other in a series of duels for the win, winning a heat each. The first heat was won by Mattia Michelotto (Top Kart-Parilla) instead. The quickest of the morning qualifying was Fusco, who led Michelotto and Nigel De Santis (Top Kart-Parilla), as Hauger was fourth at 3 tenths to the lead. Sunday's finals are much awaited then as they will name the champion of the category. Hauger will get away from the pole position in the first final.

KF2, GREAT SHAPE FOR MORETTI

Andrea Moretti (Exprit-TM) and Adriano Albano (Tony Kart-Tm) displayed a great shape in KF2 securing the win in the heats, with Albano setting also the quickest time in qualifying. Classification leader Marco Maestranzi (Top Kart-Tm) could not better the fourth time in qualifying and then settled for two placings in the heats. Marco Moretti, Andrea's brother, seemed to be able to slide in the three ways duel as he came back from a sabbatical year spent in Australia. The pole position in the first final was obtained by Andrea Moretti.

KF3, LORANDI RULING

The ruler of KF3 so far has been Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart-Parilla), who set the quickest time in qualifying and won both heats at his comeback in the championship. Lorandi earned the pole position for the first final on Sunday. The Russian driver Milen Ponomarenko (Tony Kart-Lke) has been quite surprising as she set the second time in qualifying, being two tenths short of Lorandi and later on was second in one heat. Aldo Festante (Tony Kart-Lke) set the third time in qualifying and secured the second place in the other heat of KF3. The pole position for the first went to Lorandi.

KZ2, GREAT PERFORMANCE BY ISAAKYAN
In KZ2 Matteo Greco (VRK-TM) set the quickest time in qualifying. On the spotlight were also Edoardo Tolfo and the Russian Nerses Isaakyan, both on Parolin-Tm who won one qualifying heat each. Thanks to the results of the heats, the pole position for the first final was secured by the Russian Isaakyan though. Davide De Marco (TB Kart-Tm) came also to the fore with the third place in the first heat, behind Tolfo and Isaakyan, while Alberto Viberti (Praga-Tm) and Matteo Greco (VRK-Tm), were right behind Isaakyan in the second heat.
