A good number of sparkling battles in the qualifying heats held on Saturday gave a taste of what is ahead in the Italian ACI Karting Championship at the circuit Adria Karting Raceway. A total of 232 drivers on track in the nine categories, with some ten very young drivers of Entry Level, have been battling out in the Saturday heats. Competition has been even more tough due to the very hot weather and the main protagonists of the event – and some surprises – came to the fore ahead of the closing double finals on Sunday July 10th.

KZ2. After the three heats of KZ2, Alessandro Pelizzari (CKR-Tm) secured the pole position for the first final. Following the third time in qualifyng, he claimed a victory and a second place, leading the poleman and classification leader Francesco Celenta (Formula K-Tm). The latter hit some troubles at the start of the second heat and did not manage to repeat the victory scored in the first heat. Lorenzo Giannoni (CKR-Tm) is currently third, followed by a surprising Alessio Baldi (CRG-Tm). Nella top-ten si sono inseriti Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart-Vortex), Daniele Vezzelli (CRG-Modena), Matteo Viganò (Top kart-Parilla), Davide De Marco (TB Kart-Tm), Massimo Mazzali (Croc-Tm) and Mirko Torsellini (Exprit-Tm).
