Rome, August 1st, 2023. August is expected to be a very intense month for karting at the International Circuit Napoli in Sarno (Salerno), with the main event being the fourth round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship on August 25-27. Additionally, there will be the preparatory race for this event, the 24th Pagliuca Trophy, taking place on August 5-6. However, the significant news is the new layout of the track, which has been modified in the final section before the finish line, now featuring a "chicane" just before the start-finish straight!

For the International Circuit Napoli, the month of August is all about preparing for the fourth round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship, with the national event scheduled for the weekend of August 27. But in Sarno, the competitions will begin this weekend with the 24th Pagliuca Trophy, offering a prize pool that includes a free entry, as per the RPG regulations, for the Italian Championship race in Sarno.

A new modification of the Sarno track has been recently approved, works start in October. The change will affect the third sector, which is the final part leading to the start-finish straight, up to the entrance of the pit-lane, specifically related to the marshal post 9. In the design by the architects Addeo & partners, who have been responsible for the track layout for years, the most noticeable change will be the elimination of the almost 180-degree final corner to make way for a wide chicane leading to the start-finish straight. With this modification and a complete resurfacing of the asphalt, the length of the circuit will also change. The track will no longer be 1,550 meters long as in 2021 but will return to a length of 1,670 meters, crossing the kilometre and six hundred mark. The complementary part of the circuit for automotive racing, maintaining a length of about 2,000 meters, remains unaffected.

- 24th Trofeo Pagliuca on August 5 - 6, road to the Italian ACI Karting Championship on August 24- 27 with the fourth round of the categories Mini Gr.3, OKN, OKN-J, KZ2 and KZN.
