The battle for the 2023 title gets tougher as it goes in the Campionato Italiano Sport Prototipi. Emil Hellberg collected the pole position point in Vallelunga, the last round of the season, thanks to a time of 1:34.339 in the last few instants of the session, just as the checkered flag was being waved, with Davide Uboldi just 381 thousands behind. The driver from Como was the protagonist of the central part of the session with a thigh fight with Alister Yoong, third behind him.

Hellberg became the third poleman of the season after the poker obtained by Matteo Roccadelli (BHK Motorsport) and Davide Uboldi’s best lap in Mugello. The three of them are actually the title contenders of the season, and the champion will be crowned exactly during this weekend. Pietro Ferri also confirmed himself and his pace after his first podium in Mugello’s race-1.

The third row of the grid will see Linus Hellberg, who will try to support his brother Emil in the championship fight in both races, as he will start third in race-2. Behind him there will be Jesse Menczer, ahead of a pretty subdued Roccadelli. The championship leader will be forced to gain as many positions as he can in the first manche of the weekend, while on Sunday he will start second due to the reversed grid, next to the debutant Arduino Giretti. Giovanni Mazza, Coppa ACI Sport Master winner, and Donald Milokanovic, Coppa ACI Sport Rookie winner, closed the Top-10.

Saturday, October 14, will see race-1 live at 13:35. Race-2 will go underway on Sunday, October 15, at 10:00. The battle for the championship title will be live streamed on ACI Sport TV, channel 228 of Sky and 52 of Tivusat, and on the Facebook and Youtube channels with Antonio Caruccio’s commentary.
