Stroll, Maisano, Drudi and Pulcini looking strong for qualifying

STROLL AND MAISANO RAISING THE BAR.]b The final two free practice sessions confirmed the starting predominance of Prema Power Team, that ended the day with Lance Stroll and Brandon Maisano on top of the time sheets. Despite these being only indicative times, the second round of the Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth underway in Imola, highlighted also some other interesting drivers like Andrea Drudi and Leonardo Pulcini, who put in interesting times. Pre-race sandbagging or not, only qualifying will tell the names of the quickest drivers of this initial stage. A 5 points bonus is to be awarded in the two qualifying sessions as well as the Pole Position Prize by WSK Promotion that will celebrate the two quickest drivers.

b[LAP TIMES.]b The second session went Stroll's ways, while Maisano topped the third. The young Canadian driver posted a good 1'46"979, that was quite a bit quicker than the time set by Maisano in the first session. The French driver counter-charged in FP3 with a 1'46"921. Verdicts are now awaited from qualifying that will settle the battle between the two Prema Power Team drivers, but the Pole Position fight will certainly involve also Mattia Drudi (F&M), who completed his fastest loop in 1'47"244 and Leonardo Pulcini (Euronova by Fortec), who set a 1'47"417. The classification leader Andrea Russo (Diegi Motorsport) seemed to be waiting for the more important events of tomorrow, together with Matteo Cairoli (Antonelli Motorsport). Among the top ten also the Russian Ivan Matveev (SMP Racing), the American Zackary Dante, Malta's Keith Camilleri (Malta Formula Racing), the Swiss drivers Edi Haxhiu (Cram Motorsport) and Alan Valente (Jenzer Motorsport) and the Brazilians Gustavo Bandeira (Dav Racing) and Joao Vieira (Antonelli Motorsport).
