Drivers from 23 nations ready for Italian F.4 Championship season finale at Mugello

The Italian series gets back to the track this weekend to crown the 2022 Champion

This weekend the Italian F.4 returns to the track for the grand finale of the season. The Mugello Circuit will be the chosen theater for the last round of a very successful season for the Italian F.4 Championship certified by FIA, which once again rewards the work of ACI Sport and WSK Promotion, confirming the central role of the Italian series in the international scene. In fact, there are again more than 40 drivers preparing to take to the track for the weekend, who, once again, will gather on the Tuscan track from all over the world. 23 different nationalities are represented on the track, from 5 continents, among the young drivers ready to do battle for the closing of the rankings.

Already awarded the team title, won by PREMA Racing, which obtained the necessary points to win the rankings with a round to spare, in the last race weekend at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, while it remains to crown the 2022 Champion driver, still open until the last round of the season. At Mugello, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Junior Mercedes of the PREMA Racing team, is the leader of the standings ready to end a season of records, which has seen him sign 10 race victories so far. The Bolognese driver has also earned the victory this year in the German series, triumphing just last weekend, becoming the first Italian to win the title in Germany: now he is looking for the victory in his homeland, with just a few points separating him from mathematical confirmation, the Bolognese driver could get to the final win already in race 1.

Still in the fight for the lead are currently US Racing's Irish driver Alexander Dunne and PREMA Racing's Brazilian, Ferrari Driver Academy driver Rafael Camara. With Camara, the clash is also open in the Rookie standings.

Three more races to go, then, before the end of the season, with the program of the very rich ACI Racing Weekend Mugello starting as early as Thursday, October 20, with free practice, on track with the first session from 16:40 to 17:20 pm. Then it's back on track in the morning of Friday, October 21, again with a 40-minute free practice session starting at 10.25, then qualifying at the start with the first session from 16.35 to 16.50 pm, followed by the second session from 17.00 to 17.15. Race 1 on Saturday, Oct. 22 starting at 12:20 (30 minutes + 1 lap). Race 2 will take the track on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 9:55 (30 minutes + 1 lap), while the last race of the year will be staged in the evening at 16:55 (30 minutes + 1 lap).

The three races will be broadcast live on ACI Sport TV and Motorsport.tv and live streamed on the Italian F.4 Championship's Youtube and Facebook pages.
