Mugello Circuit, Antonelli signs the best time in the second free practice session

The second free practice session of the last round of the Italian F.4 Championship took place on Friday morning. The Mugello Circuit track has a significantly lower temperature than the first session held yesterday (14.5 degrees and 90% humidity the conditions today). The fastest lap goes to Andrea Kimi Antonelli, after an exchange of fast laps with teammate and rival Rafael Camara. The Bolognese Junior Mercedes driver, brings back the battle with Brazilian Ferrari Driver Academy, which several times branched out this year in the race and brings also the memory back to the battles that between the two already in their karting carreers. The best lap of the second session is 1'47.972, which is also the best overall time between the two sessions, with Antonelli being the only driver under 1'48. 

Camara followed the leader at +0.243, third in the session Austrian Charlie Wurz (+0.510), then again a PREMA Racing driver completing the leading quartet, Ugo Ugochukwu (+0.557). Next came a trio of US Racing drivers, Kacper Sztuka (+0.605), Nikhil Bohra (+0.713) and Akshay Bohra (+0.744). Conrad Laursen, Prema Racing, took home eighth place in the session (+0.815) followed by teammate James Wharton (+0.833). Rounding out the top 10 in Free Practice 2 was AKM Motorsport's Italian driver Valerio Rinicella (+0.877).

However, the excitement on track for Day 2 of the last round of the Championship does not end here. In fact, this evening the two qualifying sessions will be on the track, in order to decide the grid of the three races of the weekend. The appointment is at 16.35 and 17.00, in two 15' sessions. Saturday, October 22, will be the turn of race 1, starting at 12:20. Sunday, October 23, race 2 will take the track at 9:55; then race 3 at 16:55, for the conclusion of the Italian F.4 Championship 2022. The three races will be broadcast live on ACI Sport TV and Motorsport.tv and live streamed on the Italian F.4 Championship's Youtube and Facebook pages.
