Arvid Lindblad is the fastest in the day dedicated to collective testing, Badoer just 8 thousandth of a second behind

The 4-hour collective testing session preceding the race weekend at Autodromo Nazionale Monza has concluded, tomorrow the start of the weekend with the free practices and then qualifyings

It was a long session today to allow the drivers to familiarize themselves with the challenges of the Temple of Speed before the official start of the fourth round of the Italian F.4 Championship tomorrow, with free practices in the morning and qualifying sessions in the evening.

The fastest driver on the track today was the leader of the drivers' standings, British driver Arvid Lindblad of PREMA Racing. He set the fastest time with a lap of 1'52.756. Just behind him was Italian driver Brando Badoer of Van Amersfoort Racing, finishing only 8 thousandth of a second behind. In third place was Ferrari Driver Academy's Finnish driver, Tuukka Taponen, with a gap of 0.149. Taking the fourth position was the extremely fast Polish driver of US Racing, Kacper Sztuka, with a gap of 0.191. Australian driver James Wharton, junior Ferrari driver with Prema Racing, recorded a time 0.273 seconds behind, followed by Brazilian driver Matheus Ferriera, a young driver with Academy Alpine and representing Van Amersfoort Racing, with a gap of 0.472.

The American ace of Prema Racing and McLaren junior driver, Ugo Ugochukwu, finished the long session today in seventh place, with a gap of 0.476. In eighth place was Portuguese driver Ivan Domingues of Van Amersfoort Racing, with a gap of 0.507, followed by a duo of Australian drivers who rounded the top 10. The following were Gianmarco Pradel of US Racing, with a gap of 0.519, and Jacke Beeton of Van Amersfoort Racing, the home driver, with a gap of 0.555.

 

The appointment with the third round of the Championship at Autodromo Nazionale Monza resumes tomorrow, Friday, June 23, with two 40-minute free practice sessions starting at 8:30 and 12:15, followed by official qualifying sessions in the evening. Qualifying 1 will bring the battle on the track of Autodromo Nazionale Monza from 16:45 to 17:00, followed by the next session on the track from 17:10 to 17:25. 

Saturday, June 24, will feature the first race of the weekend, a 30-minute + 1 lap race, starting at 13:20. The remaining two races will take place on Sunday, June 25, with race 2 opening the Sunday program of the ACI Racing Weekend Monza at 8:40 (30 minutes + 1 lap), followed by the final race at 14:20 (30 minutes + 1 lap).

All three races of the weekend will be broadcast live with English commentary on the Italian F.4 Championship's YouTube and Facebook pages and on Motorsport TV (https://eu.motorsport.tv/). The races will also be aired with Italian commentary on ACI Sport TV (Sky channel 228), on www.acisport.it, and on the Facebook page @acisporttv.
