Sztuka confirms himself as the fastest on the track at Paul Ricard

US Racing’s Pole sets the best lap of the day in the second free practice session

Kacper Sztuka, Pole driver from the Team US Racing, confirms himself as the fastest driver on the track during the day dedicated to the free practice sessions. At the Paul Ricard Circuit, he dominates both the morning session and again in the early afternoon, securing the best time of the day in Free Practice 2 with 2’05.251. Following him in the second session is once again James Wharton, the Ferrari Driver Academy of PREMA Racing, with a gap of 0.112. In the third position is the Italian driver of Van Amersfoort Racing, Brando Badoer, with a narrow gap of just 0.134. Tuukka Taponen, the Ferrari Driver Academy pilot of Prema, secures the fourth position and is the leading Rookie driver with a gap of 0.285. His teammate, the American McLaren junior, Ugo Ugochukwu, follows closely in fifth place, trailing him by just two thousandths, 0.287 behind Sztuka. Then, another Prema driver in the sixth position is Rashid Al Dhaheri, with a gap of 0.504 in the second session. Zachary David, the Maltese-Filipino from US Racing, takes the seventh place with a difference of 0.567. Following him in eighth place in the second free practice session is his teammate in Gerhard Ungar and Ralf Schumacher's team, Akshay Bohra, with a gap of 0.677. James Egozi, representing PHM Racing, finishes ninth in the second practice session with a difference of 0.680, preceding the Portuguese driver from Van Amersfoort Racing, Ivan Domingues, who completes the top 10 with a gap of 0.829.

The action resumes tomorrow, Saturday, July 22, with the first qualifying session from 10:19 to 10:34, followed by the second session from 10:44 to 10:59. In the evening of Saturday, race 1 begins at 16:50 for 30’ + 1 lap. On Sunday, July 23, race 2 starts at 10:10 (30’ + 1 lap), followed by race 3 at 17:30 (30’ + 1 lap).
