Kacper Sztuka is the fastest of the Day in the Euro 4 Championship at Monza

The day dedicated to free practice in the Euro 4 Championship, in the second round of the Championship at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, has come to an end. Polish driver Kacper Sztuka of US Racing claimed the title of the fastest on the track at the end of Day 1. The best lap time was recorded in the afternoon session, on a dry track, with a time of 1'52.417. Following closely behind, with an extremely narrow margin, was Australian ace James Wharton of PREMA Racing, who was only 0.053 seconds behind the leader. Tuukka Taponen of Prema Racing took the third spot, having been tied for the fastest in the morning session with Ugo Ugochukwu, with a gap of 0.167 for the Finnish driver. Prema Racing drivers continued to follow, with Arvid Lindblad in fourth place at 0.266, followed by rookie Freddie Slater. The young English talent had a gap of 0.266, delivering another excellent session at the Temple of Speed.

Brando Badoer represented Van Amersfoort Racing in the upper part of the standings, securing the sixth-best lap with a gap of 0.321. Behind him was the Maltese-Filipino driver from US Racing, Zachary David, who stopped the watch at 0.398, followed by Emirati driver Rashid Al Dhaheri of PREMA Racing, also at 0.398. Closing out the top 10 were two drivers from the team of Gerhard Ungar and Ralf Schumacher, Gianmarco Pradel and Akshay Bohra, at 0.512 and 0.649 behind Sztuka, respectively.

Tomorrow, Saturday, September 16, the day will begin with two 15-minute qualifying sessions at 8:30 and 8:55, followed by Race 1, lasting 30 minutes + 1 lap, starting at 14:45. On Sunday, September 17, it will be the turn of Race 2 (30 minutes + 1 lap) at 10:30, followed by Race 3 (30 minutes + 1 lap) at 17:35. The three races of the weekend will be broadcast live with English commentary on the Euro 4 Championship's YouTube and Facebook pages and on Motorsport TV (https://eu.motorsport.tv/); they will also be aired with Italian commentary on ACI Sport TV (Sky channel 228), www.acisport.it, and the Facebook page @acisporttv.
