Akshay Bohra is the fastest in the first free practice session at Mugello Circuit

The top three drivers in the morning session are all from US Racing Team

The first free practice session of the Italian F.4 Championship at Mugello Circuit has concluded. Among the 34 cars on the track this morning, the fastest lap was set by Akshay Bohra, with a time of 1’48.056. The entire top three from the first free practice session represents the Team US Racing. Alongside Bohra, Kacper Sztuka was in second place, with a minimal gap of 37 thousandths of a second, followed by Zachary David at 0.119 seconds behind. Following closely, there were 6 drivers from Prema Racing. Ferrari Driver Academy's James Wharton posted a gap of 0.151 seconds. McLaren junior driver Ugo Ugochukwu secured the fifth best time with a gap of 0.209 seconds. 

Then, the local driver, Tuscan Nicola Lacorte, recorded a gap of 0.413 seconds, giving him the sixth best time. He was followed by Red Bull junior driver Arvid Lindblad, with a gap of 0.434 seconds from Bohra, securing the seventh position. The eighth best time was achieved by Finnish Ferrari Driver Academy driver Tuukka Taponen, with a gap of 0.460 seconds. The first free practice session concluded with the debutant from Prema Racing, Jamaican Mercedes junior driver Alex Powell, in eighth place, with a gap of 0.498 seconds. Rounding out the top 10 was Australian US Racing driver Gianmarco Pradel, with a gap of 0.557 seconds.

The weekend schedule includes free practice sessions on Friday, September 29th, in two sessions lasting 40 minutes each, starting at 10:40 and again at 14:10. Qualifying will take place on Saturday, September 30th, with the first session starting at 10:20 AM and ending at 10:35 AM, followed by the second session from 10:45 to 11:00. On Saturday evening, Race 1 will begin at 17:50, lasting 30 minutes plus one lap. On Sunday, October 1st, Race 2 will start at 9:55 (30 minutes plus one lap), followed by the final race of the weekend, Race 3, at 16:50 (30 minutes plus one lap).

The three races of the weekend will be broadcast live with English commentary on the Euro 4 Championship's YouTube and Facebook pages, as well as on Motorsport TV (https://eu.motorsport.tv/); Italian commentary will be available on ACI Sport TV (channel 228 on Sky), www.acisport.it, and the Facebook page @acisporttv.
