In Taormina, the two-day event dedicated to ACI Champions begins

The inaugural evening will occur tomorrow, Friday 16th, featuring the “Premio Nino Vaccarella” and the Best of Regional Motorsport with international guests and exclusive surprises. On Saturday 17th, winners of the national titles in four-wheel racing will be celebrated. Among the attendees are Fisichella, Minardi, Minì, Faggioli, rally driver Crugnola, and representatives from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Suzuki, and Toyota. The event will be live-streamed on ACI Sport TV.

Rome, February 15th, 2024 - The two-day event by the Automobile Club d'Italia dedicated to the Champions of Motorsport and Karting 2023 is ready to kick off. Many announced guests of international relevance will enrich the ACI event. On Friday 16th, the inaugural ceremony will include the prestigious "Premio Nino Vaccarella" presentation, whose announcement is eagerly waited. Special awards will be given to the Press and to some drivers who have particularly distinguished themselves. International guests will enhance the event, bringing Taormina into the spotlight. The Delegate/Trustee of ACI Sport Sicilia, Daniele Settimo, will host the event in the presence of the President of the Automobile Club d'Italia, Angelo Sticchi Damiani, to award the Sicilian Champions.

On Saturday, February 17th, the Awards Ceremony for the Italian Champions of Motorsport and Karting will take place at the Pala Congressi in Taormina, with the ACI President congratulating the best performers of the 2023 season alongside ACI Sport Federation leaders.

Among the GT Champions are Giancarlo Fisichella and Tommaso Mosca, Simone Patrinicola. There will also be the young Sicilian talent Gabriele Minì – Formula 3 driver – Italian Rally Champion and Targa Florio winner Andrea Crugnola, hill climb legend Simone Faggioli with his 17th championship title, and the Sicilian Regularity Racing champions Accardo, Passanante, and Moceri, who will receive special recognition. Giancarlo Minardi is the distinguished Italian figure in global motorsport among the attendees. Raffaele Giammaria, Director of the ACI Sport Federal School "Michele Alboreto" will also be in Taormina. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Suzuki, and Toyota are the most represented brands at ACI awards, which will be embellished by the unique Sicilian landscapes and sporting passion.

The first live streaming on ACI Sport TV will be at 16.30 on Friday, February 16th, dedicated to the Sicilian Champions. On Saturday, February 17th, at 16.00, Italian champions will parade in front of the cameras of Sky channel 228 and the Federation social media platforms.
