Andrea Crugnola and Pietro Elia Ometto, Citroen C3 Rally2, won the Sparco Italian Rally Championship

The two ACI Team Italia members clinched the title straight away at the beginning of the Rally Due Valli which celebrates this year its 50th anniversary. They won the opening power stage and earned three decisive points in this way. Crugnola pushed hard from the beginning without too many calculations and without waiting for the events that will unfold tomorrow.

Andrea Crugnola claimed a particularly deserved title at the end of a season in which he won the Rally del Ciocco, Rally di Alba and Rally 1000 Miglia, came second at the Rallye di Sanremo and Targa Florio Rally and third at the Rally di Roma Capitale. The season score will be completed tomorrow with the end of the Due Valli and its final result.
