Basso-Granai end the CIAR Sparco winning the Rallye Sanremo
The Treviso-based driver delivers a final blow in his Toyota GR Yaris Rally 2, securing his fifth win in the history of the race and finishing the season as vice-champion. It was a bitter end for Campedelli-Canton (Skoda Fabia RS) who lost both their second place in the championship and the race in a photo finish, after being overtaken by Crugnola-Ometto by 0.2". With their third-place finish, Doretto-Frigo are crowned Junior Champions. Pisani and Moriconi secure a second consecutive title. Dallapiccola takes the R1 championship.
The closing round of the Sparco CIAR at Rallye Sanremo: titles and show at stakes
The legendary race will take place on the 18th and 19th of October, bringing the season to a close with a full grid of cars and drivers. From the already crowned champions Crugnola-Ometto to their rivals Campedelli-Canton and Basso-Granai, all the big names in the top series will be present to put on a show. All eyes will be on the battle for the still-vacant Junior, Two-Wheel Drive, and R1 titles. The season finale will also feature the Toyota and Suzuki trophies.
The Sparco Italian Rally Championship launches the sprint to the title at the Rally 1000 Miglia
The penultimate round of the season is coming up next in Brescia with 141 crews challenging each other on 115 tarmac km and 11 tests. The first chance to claim the titles of the Overall classification, Junior and R1 will be on September 13-14th. Crugnola-Ometto have the first chance to end the story. Campedelli-Canton and Basso-Granai will try to prevent them from clinching the title.
The Sparco CIAR Sparco and Rome’s magic as the fifth round of the Italian Championship
The Rally di Roma Capitale will host the penultimate stage of the Sparco Italian Rally Championship, alongside the European Championship, from July 26 to 28. It will also count for the 8th Zone Rally Cup. The asphalt roads in the Frosinone area will challenge 114 teams with 13 special stages covering 190 km, including the two longest sections of the championship. On Friday at 20:00, a showcase event will take place in the shadow of the Colosseum.
The Due Valli is back as the fourth round of the Sparco CIAR
The Verona stage returns to host the Italian Championship, now in its fourth round. A total of 117 teams are expected to compete on Friday, June 28th and Saturday, June 29th, across 7 special stages covering 106 km of asphalt. Basso, Crugnola, Campedelli, and other top drivers are looking for a breakthrough in the overall standings. Crucial battles are expected in the Promotion and Two-Wheel Drive categories. The event is also valid for the Zone Rally Cup, the Yaris Rally Cup, and the Suzuki Rally Cup.
The Sparco CIAR challenges the myth again, the Targa Florio is next up for the third round
177 crews are ready at the start of an event with four races and three national validities, among modern cars also engaged in the 9th Zone Rally Cup, and historic cars, divided into regularity and rally. On May 10th and 11th, there are 9 Special Stages scheduled on the asphalt of the Madonie, starting from Palermo and finishing in Termini Imerese. Heavy points are at stake for the Overall, Promotion, Two-Wheel Drive and R1 categories.
Basso-Granai and Toyota win the second round of the Sparco CIAR at the Rally Regione Piemonte
The driver from Treviso took advantage of a mistake by Crugnola-Ometto, Citroen C3, and clinched the first victory on asphalt in the world for the new GR Yaris. Now Basso is the new championship leader. The French duo Lefebvre-Hamard were second on Citroen, trailing by 3.1 seconds, out of contention for the national championship. Campedelli-Canton was back on the podium again, Skoda Fabia, at 4.1 seconds. Victory in the CIR Promotion for Signor-Michi, fourth in Skoda. Doretto-Frigo celebrated their first victory in the CIAR Junior. Lo Cascio-Rappa rejoiced in the GR Yaris Rally Cup. Dallapiccola-Andrian won in the Suzuki Rally Cup.
A stellar second round of the Sparco CIAR with 157 entries at the Rally Regione Piemonte
On April 12th and 13th, the second round of the national championship and the opening of the 1st Zone Rally Cup will take place around Alba. The numerous participants include the best Italians and many international outsiders, such as WRC2 Champion Mikkelsen with Hyundai i20 Rally1. Ten ACI Team Italia crews are ready to debut in the CIAR Junior. The GR Yaris Rally Cup will also make its debut. The challenge continues in the Suzuki Rally Cup.
SPARCO next to ACI Sport for the triennium 2024-2026
The partnership between the Italian Federation and the Turin-based company has been confirmed. Sparco will once again be the 'title sponsor' of the Italian Rally Championship, 'sponsor' of the Italian GT Championship, and 'Partner' of the Rally Italia Sardegna. The presentation of the renewed agreement was held live on ACI Sport TV on the eve of the 'Rally il Ciocco e Valle del Serchio,' the inaugural race of the 2024 rally championship.
An electrifying Sparco Italian Rally Championship 2024 is all set to debut at Ciocco
A new extraordinary season from the start, is about to begin with the classic opening of the Rally Il Ciocco and Valle del Serchio. On March 15th and 16th, between Lucca and Castelnuovo Garfagnana, the race for the Overall, Promotion, Two-Wheel Drive, and R1 titles will begin, along with the challenge for the 7th Zone Rally Cup, featuring 11 special stages covering 105 km of competitive sections. Drawing attention is a remarkable list of 109 registered crews. Also participating is the 17th Suzuki Rally Cup.
