First free session of the year starts at Paul Ricard with wet track that quickly dries for final best lap by Guzman

At Paul Ricard circuit first season of Formula Regional European Championship certified by FIA starts, with drivers ready to battle on the new Tatuus F3 T-318 motorized with a 1750 cc TBi 270 CV engine.

After a day of rain, today at 9.00 the French track was still wet, especially on parts of the circuit surrounded by areas with cement on the ground.

Teams have been obliged to use wet tyres for the first laps and then switch to slick, with lap times going quickly down from 2:19.000 to best result in the end obtained by Mexican Raul Guzman (DR Formula by RP Racing). Behind him the English Olli Caldwell (Prema Powerteam) with 2:15.771 and his teammate and winner of 2018 Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth, Brazilian Enzo Fittipaldi, with 2:16.825.

In the afternoon, starting at 13.35, FP2, still of 40’ duration.
